Time to Debunk a Myth

Some Federal employees think that unions must represent them whether or not they choose to join. THAT IS A BIG LIE! Don’t believe it when you hear it.

The law says the union’s duty to represent a non-member is limited, and that the union must only negotiate and administer collective bargaining agreements.

Comprehensive union representation goes only to those who are union members. Don’t get caught without union protection when you need it most.

Joining the union is not just a matter of adding your voice to the union’s bargaining clout. It is a matter of survival. If you have trouble on the job and need representation at MSPB, OWCP, or EEOC, your legal bills could run you into the thousands of dollars. If you are a NFFE-IAMAW member, we will represent you. When everyone joins, everyone is protected.

Don’t Wait Until It’s Too Late.
